About the Trainer
I am married with two daughters. Family is first in my life.
The whole family gets involved in the training and care of the
dogs. I have hunted my
whole life. I used to hunt
deer, grouse, turkeys, pheasants, and ducks.
Now I concentrate on ducks and pheasants.
I specialize in the flushing breeds of gun dogs.
My training theory is a mixture of new and old techniques.
I work at the pace of the dogs’ ability to learn.
I adjust my training programs to fit the needs of the owner and
the ability of the dog. I
started running dogs in AKC Hunt Tests in 1996.
I have qualified dogs at the Junior, Senior, and Master Test
levels. I judged my first
Hunt Test in 2002. |
Training
I offer training to prepare dogs for AKC Hunt tests, and
waterfowl and upland hunting. I also provide obedience
training. I use ducks, pheasants, pigeons, quail, and dummies in
the training program. My programs cover obedience, retrieving,
force fetch, blind work, and E-collar training. The first time you
bring your dog to me I will expect your dog for 3 months. After
that, the training can be negotiated on a month-to-month basis. I
will also handle dogs currently in for training in AKC Hunt Tests (The
handling fee is equivalent to the entrance fee for the
event). |
Facilities
We offer both dog training and dog boarding in 16 heated indoor
kennel runs.
We also raise and sell pheasants.
